Workshops and Classes
Slow Stitching: a weekly drop in session in the Little Current United Church, Manitoulin Island. No need to belong to the church or know anything about sewing. We will be learning the techniques that are the basis for the meditation panels that hang in the sanctuary. Hand stitching, a free event. Every Thursday 1 - 4 pm.
Meditation Panels: Design your personal meditation panel in this three day workshop based on the successful Manitoulin Community Circle Project where four large hand stitched panels were hand stitched by over 100 individuals between 2009 and 2013. Original approaches to construction and innovative usage of traditional hand stitch, this workshop will be part of Fibre Arts Newfoundland, a conference in Gros Morne Park, October 14 - 18 , more information and registration at www.fibreartsnl.ca
